To be opposed to war, even an illegal war that is promoted through outright lies and racist propaganda, is considered tantamount to treason.

These imperial wars are fought in the interests of the American Corporate Empire, to seize control of natural resources and strategic areas in furtherance of what the Pentagon calls "Full Spectrum Dominance" of the world. This is why people hate us, not for our freedoms, which we have happily pissed-away in exchange for trinkets, but for the murder and destruction our government wreaks around the world. In the process, American soldiers have become as disposable as American workers are in the global marketplace. In this context, hero has become an empty word, thrown around like a trademark by corrupt politicians and media whores, such as Walker. "Drink the new Coke, now with more hero".

In order to ensure a compliant public, the corporate-controlled government has launched a massive, all-pervasive spying operation on it's own citizens. We are now considered the enemy, as has become evident through whistle-blower prosecutions that define the act of informing the American public about this illegal spying as: "aiding the enemy". US military intelligence has labeled peaceful, non-violent protest as "low level terrorism". Our electoral system has become nothing more than a system of auctions. We really have very little to be proud of on this July 4th. We should be ashamed over what we have allowed the Oligarchs to do to our country.

Garethnoreply@blogger.com
