And the fact that government has used the remainder of the money for their general fund all these years? The old saying fits, give a politician a stack of money and you know what he'll do with it.Imustberacisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09980736361844115046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5888314760091661875.post-48002002346445493762012-04-27T05:47:20.885-05:002012-04-27T05:47:20.885-05:00In prepping my kids up for the AP Government test ...In prepping my kids up for the AP Government test was telling them about Social Security and how it actually takes in more than it spends. They literally did not believe me, and wanted documentation. Now mind you, I've said a lot of stuff over the year and most of it is true, but this one they wanted documentation. I found a couple of articles that sited the SS Admin Report of 2011. They literally did not believe me because it was absolutely opposite of what they had heard so far in their young lives. The quick teaching point became, Who is lying to you and for what reason.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5888314760091661875.post-36552798152065525452012-04-26T21:13:40.337-05:002012-04-26T21:13:40.337-05:00Gov't workers aren't allowed to strike.Gov't workers aren't allowed to strike.capperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08751967312821403092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5888314760091661875.post-74194135913256499272012-04-26T21:11:56.309-05:002012-04-26T21:11:56.309-05:00http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate/2011/02/18/th...http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate/2011/02/18/the-first-blow-against-public-employees/fdr-warned-us-about-public-sector-unions

"Government workers, however, don’t generate profits. So what id Ryan used SS money for education. If it's there and you've paid into the system you can use it even if you want to reform it. Your only other choice is reminiscent of the guy who protested voter ID by refusing to vote.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5888314760091661875.post-53516227440588028202012-04-26T10:35:05.204-05:002012-04-26T10:35:05.204-05:00Thanks for posting the video. Re...Sounds like you have given up, Imustbearacist.

Remember, a fiscally conservative person is one who doesn't spend more money than they make. An honest person is one who pays for what he or she buys or uses. You use the library, pay for it through taxes. But there is an indirect benefit as well. The ambulance driver and his paramedics went to public schools and that is why they save your life. So, everyone should be careful about spending and don't give away our tax money to fraudulent cases, but also, don't give away our money to private companies that are looking for profits over the good of the state.

We have hope and common sense and want to try to improve our state and country. You are right about both Dems and Reps. being 1%ers. So was FDR. That doesn't mean we have to vote for someone who is obviously bought off.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5888314760091661875.post-13192694892808964692012-04-26T07:32:54.414-05:002012-04-26T07:32:54.414-05:00So your answer to saving SS is taxing the rich? They just shelter their money and enjoy all the tax loopholes they want. The Dems running this country are 1%ers too. They aren't interested in paying more, I haven't seen any changes to the tax code to implement this. Not even when dems controlled both houses. They couldnt even pass a budget. Maybe Ryan's solution is wrong, but the answer isn't to keep going as if nothing is wrong.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ-4gnNz0vc&feature=youtube_gdata_playerImustberacisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09980736361844115046noreply@blogger.com
