Wrong for Wisconsin, ALEC Puppets to Introduce Right To Work

We all knew this was coming sooner or later, the puppets of the plutocratic American Legislative Exchange Council will be introducing Right to Work next week in Madison.  Many Republicans have for years objected to the collective voice of unions because of the roll they play in balancing the power of workers and corporations.  These "Tea Party Patriots" believe in a top down monarchal system just like their Tory forbearers that fought on the side of the British in the Revolutionary War.  The difference between then and now is the East India Company has been replaced by the likes of Koch Industries and Walmart.  The simple fact about unions, is that they are what provide democracy in the workplace.

In order to do all we can to push back against this attack, here are some links to help you out.

Some facts to use with your republican neighbor.

  1. We need big protests again! We have no power anyways why not?

    1. I feel like more protests at this point will just make Democrats look even worse. The media will just side with Walker, once again. Protests have been shown to be ineffective in this state

  2. Protests are effective, as long as they remain peaceful.

The protests over Act 10 allowed the nation and the world to see what was going on in Wisconsin. Big money from outside of our state influenced the outcome of the recall elections, not to mention suspected ballot box tampering.

Some day the truth will be known.

    1. I don't see how you can say they're "effective". They didn't help anything last time, and seemed like they just emboldened Walker and the regressive radical right. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

  3. Might try a simple General strike?

    1. A general strike is an interesting idea. I'm not sure about the feasibility. You'd have to get AFL-CIO, AFSCME, WEAC, and others probably all on board to make it even remotely effective.

    2. Or ignore the union's often tired strategy, and weak leadership completely?

    1. Those state police will break heads for walker....just as Pinochet made the police financially dependent on him, so does walker. faced with the possible loss of wages, pension or job security, they will do as they are told, even if it's obviously illegal.
