The Walker Agenda Is Still Working! Part CCIV

Remember when Scott Walker bragged about creating 250,000 jobs and bringing in 10,000 new businesses to Wisconsin?  Right about now, I wish he would just try to keep the ones we have now instead of losing them too:
The parent company of Diversified Machine LLC in Milwaukee plans to close the plant and leave 218 employees out of work, according to a WARN notice filed with the state this week.

Southfield, Mich.-based Chassix expects to permanently close the facility at 2039 S. Lenox St., with layoffs beginning February 2 and running through April 30. The employees are not represented by a union.

Chassix was formed in 2012 when Michigan automotive suppliers Diversified Machine Inc. and SMW Automotive LLC merged. The company is a leading global supplier of precision chassis casting and machining solutions.
And to think Walker wants people to forego giving their children Christmas presents for this?

  1. Although the end came later than sooner, this is an example of what would have happened in 2009 if the automakers would have been allowed to go bankrupt as Mitt and the GOP wanted. There would have been dozens of other suppliers in Wisconsin that would have taken a hit.

  2. Why didn't the magic snake-oil of corporate tax cuts keep them from shutting down? Go figure. The Wisconsin miracle marches on!

  3. How could a non-union factory shut down? Walker told us unions were the cause of all of WISCONSIN'S TROUBLES. Walker's got some splainnnnn to do!
