Sacrificed at the Altar of Ambition

By Jeff Simpson

Taylor Palmisano, the author of the send us your kids Christmas money, was sacrificed this afternoon at the alter of Scott Walker's ambitions.

Luckily for Scott Walker, Dani Bice did some digging and found a couple racist tweets in her past.    Which led to her being dismissed immediately, with a health dose of fake outrage thrown in:

"Taylor Palmisano has been immediately removed from her position with the Friends of Scott Walker campaign," said spokesman Jonathan Wetzel. "Both the Governor, and the campaign, condemn these insulting remarks which do not reflect our views in any way."

They were so outraged by her tweets that they waited three years to fire her?  Granted she had only been in her current position of collecting kids Christmas presents for 6 months but I would think she went through an interview process.   Did anyone in the office follow her on twitter?

Besides if Scott Walker is so against racism....he will veto the nASS racist mascot preservation bill sitting on his desk.

She immediately disappeared from twitter and facebook.     One thing to look for, is where she resurfaces.   She was a good little soldier before she disappeared.

"I deeply regret these offensive and irresponsible remarks," she said. "I sincerely apologize, and understand the consequences of making such unacceptable statements."
Palmisano shut down her Facebook account and Twitter account on Tuesday.
So now Scott Walker can play the victim and blame this poor girl for all of the bad press about wanting to take your kids Christmas money.

It is really too bad though that Taylor was fired.  Palmisano's pure unadulterated greed, ignorance, selfishness and lack of empathy were gifts that would have put her on the fast track in the Walker Administration.

  1. The type of low-life that is today's GOP campaign operative continues to amaze me. And note that the J-S waits for her to get canned before they bring up the "donate to Walker instead of getting your XMas presents" story. Just another way they protect their boy Scotty

  2. Even as a Republican, I believe there is just no room for this crap. The fundraising e-mail she put out last week was also indicative of the kind of arrogance that comes from Republicans who fashion themselves as the next Lee Atwater looking for future gig on Fox News as a "Republican Strategist." Come on. Grow up. I bet that janitor wearing a Walkman had a lot more family values than you, Taylor. I admire people who are willing to work a job no matter what it is so they can provide for their families. Doesn't matter of they were legal or illegal. But, I guess trying to get as man twitter followers as possible at the expense of someone trying to make it with a low paying job is more important. Shameful cake eater.

  3. Sure Taylor was canned. She was the public face of this shameless promotion. But the entire Walker "team" seems to be infused with the "win at all costs" mentality. There is no moral compass at the top. Remember the secret e-mails? Scooter said "we can't afford stories like this." Did he say it was wrong? No, not at all. When Tim Russell stole $27k from veterans programs, Walker was quoted as being "disappointed." That's mild punishment indeed. The stench of decay in Walkerville comes from the top down. Eagle Scout, indeed.

  4. Exactly. The pattern of Walker and his campaign hiring scumbag after scumbag (with a lot of incompetents mixed in) is one of the biggest reasons he needs to get run. But it's not surprising, as bad and stupid people don't have the guts to hire anything other than bad and stupid people

    1. Or it could be that the good and educated either stay away from Walker, or run away screaming after an interview.

  6. Well, thank goodness this bad apple won't spoil the rest of our highly moral, representative, competent, compassionate, etc. state government.

  8. I believe this is called "Taking one for the team". This little twit will land on her feet in another wingnut welfare job, I guarantee. Young female racists are a highly prized asset in the Conservafascist movement.

  11. A public service job would probably result in the same type of Suder-doodoo with which we're all now familiar. I'm thinking more along the lines of a private sector job, maybe doing "special things" for Popcorn Pusher Robin Vos....
