Get the Best Research on Vouchers
Efforts to shift public dollars from public schools to private voucher schools has momentum in our state and will likely have significant ramifications for professional educators.
Please join UWM's Urban Studies Programs for the 7th annual Henry W. Maier State of Milwaukee Summit. This year's topic is "Life After Vouchers: Expansion, Accountability & Outcomes." A distinguished panel will discuss new research on the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program, the recent expansion of school vouchers statewide, and legislative efforts to create accountability measures for all schools that receive public funding. A reception will follow the panel discussion and Q&A. The event is free and open to the public and is part of USP's 50th anniversary year. 1. So you prefer that multi-generations of impoverished African Americans that have been systematically underserved by the most racist school district in America -- Milwaukee Public Schools -- have no choice but to continue to send children to the worst schools in this nation, a systems that literally does not teach African Americans to read?!?!?!?!?!?!

You, WEAC, and NEA are shameless racists.

I know you will proclaim that any data that proves Wisconsin has the most dysfunctional schools for African Americans and non-majority children somehow comes from right-wing think tanks -- a lie.

Why you or any self-proclaimed liberal thumps their chest that African Americans should just shut-up and accept that Wisconsin's public schools systematically underserve them, creating a pipeline to the most racist prison system in America, is more than disappointing.

The sense of entitlement folks like you feel privilege too and your attempts to inflame and support racism is utterly shocking.

Who the hell says sit down and shut up?? I want people angry and speaking up. The problem is Vouchers are not the way to go, we have hard data that proves that.

Lets force the politicians to fix and fund our public schools. thats the way out of this!
