Talk With Tonette

I had multiple people forward the following email to me:
The UWM School of Continuing Education is thrilled to announce the second of our three-part Women Leaders Forum series: A Conversation with the First Lady of Wisconsin.

We invite you to join us on Tuesday, August 27 from 11:30am to 1:00pm for an exclusive luncheon and candid conversation with Tonette Walker. Our distinguished guest will discuss her comings and goings as the Governor's wife. She will share with us stories of the interesting people she has met, what her schedule is like, how it feels to raise children in the spotlight, her take on living in the Governor's residence, and what she would ultimately like her legacy to be.

This is a FREE event, and an incredible opportunity to meet Mrs. Walker, enjoy a light lunch and mingle with other community leaders, mentors and advocates. Please register early to guarantee a seat.

Register Online Today!

Hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
Jan Allen

Just imagine...you could learn what it's like to meet high-priced private defense attorneys or corrupt and soulless millionaires like the Koch Brothers.

Something tells me that there won't be any question and answer session - or if there is, it's going to be very, very controlled.  And I was so hoping to get her chili recipe.

  1. No questions about politics, of course - that's Scott's domain! And he's not available. But she's here, because she's Scott's out-of-view wife. And she promises to do what she can about UW funding.

  2. Perhaps she'll talk about her struggle to make a decent ham sandwich in a kitchen with out-of-date appliances.

  5. Her legacy???? We've heard nothing from her except a complaint about the kitchen and she expects a legacy.
Years ago Tonette was a home perm for kids--kind of a watered-down version of the adult product. Sounds like a good description of both her and her husband.

    1. Isn't she keeping a Kochsucker happy at home? That's no small feat.
