The Republican Disconnect

By Jeff Simpson

The Wisconsin republican convention was this past weekend in Wausau.   We know they want to reach out to minorities and we know that is simply lip service.

Reince proved he was truly the King of Denial, with his speech.

“People look to Scott and Paul really for a lot of clues and signs as to where the party is going,” Reince Priebus  said. “They’re leaders. You can watch them every Sunday morning and you can also watch them all across the state of Wisconsin.”

The right wing US Chamber of Commerce would beg to differ

Unfortunately, the U.S. Chamber, in a report released at the event, didn’t share Walker’s enthusiasm.
Its annual scorecard on state economies ranked Wisconsin 44th for overall economic performance and 50th—as in dead last—for short-term job growth as measured between September 2010 and November 2012. It also has Wisconsin 39th in “business climate”—on par with the state’s ranking under Gov. Jim Doyle.

Then of course there is Paul Ryan, who we recently found out has based his whole economic theory on a "mistake".

Paul Ryan has fashioned a career advancing his austerity agenda, there is only one problem, his whole philosophy is flawed.  Seriously flawed!

If Paul Ryan and Scott Walker are the future of the party, time to sell your stock!

  2. The only economic justice is that Republican economic philosophy damages the economy which results in Republicans losing elections. Obama would not be President without Supply Side economics alongside Laissez-faire government oversight of businesses that crashed the economy.
