I find it interesting that a Milwaukee County Board committee isActually it had nothing to do with meddling with city business, but to protect county taxpayers, as I pointed out in my admittedly snarky comment to him:
My interest is not in the Board's position on taxi cabs, but rather in its desire to medal in City politics. This is the same Board screaming bloody murder over the State's desire to impose changes at the County level.
Hello pot? This is kettle. You're black.
Well, the county has a $1.1 million dollar contract with the cab company for their dispatch services. Since they have the monopoly on cab licenses, the county is at the mercy of the cab company. Increasing competition will help drive the cost to taxpayers down. And here I thought you were supposed to be the newsman. Heh.I'm not which is worse - the fact that I, as a mere blogger can again show up a "professional newsman" or that people actually watch and believe the crap they are spewing out.
*They're still waiting for approval to change their call letter to WGOP.
