Walker's Chances For POTUS Worsens

I just pointed out yesterday that Scott Walker was not faring well in his chase for the White House, coming in with only 2% in a poll comparing GOP potential candidates.

It turns out that this was a rosy outlook for Walker.

In a post by David Catanese at The Run 2016, he points out that Walker is doing a helluva lot of traveling in an effort to garner support despite the stench of corruption and incompetence that surrounds him.

What really caught my eye was the last line of his report (emphasis mine):
As one national poll demonstrated this week, his support languishes in single digits.  A second national firm didn’t even include him in their survey.
With the way the local corporate media reports it, Walker is destined for office.  The fact that he is so insignificant that he can not even get mentioned in a poll shows that quite the opposite is true.

  1. Not sure it's a good idea to discourage this Presidential run. He'll be totally humiliated if he does and that would be a good and healthy process for Wisconsinites to view.

  2. Discouraging it now is part of the process... many of us are working to expose his lies & failures which must be humiliating to someone like Walker.

    1. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see him ditch the Guv job in 2014 to follow this president delusion full-time. After all, this Governor thing requires real work and problem-solving and accountability for results. The wingnut welfare circuit and kissing rich right-wing ass? Not so much.

I dare this idiot to try to stay in his current job after next year. The realities of this guy's failures are becoming obvious throughout the state

Good point. Most of us focus on the present without considering just how bad Walker's trend looks. It is by far the worst in the nation. If it continues we will be solidly in last place in every measurable economic category. It would defy logic (and sanity) to offer the Wisconsin tools across the country and IF the Dems advance a credible candidate he will also be working for the school voucher lobby with his friends.

  4. With Republicans in the Senate balking at borrowing $2B to fill Walker's budget gap, he will be faced with the choice of giving up on his tax cuts or doubling-down on austerity. I'm betting he chooses the latter, which will only accelerate the downward trend in the state's economy. As an austerity addict, he just can't help himself.

    1. Gareth,

      You amplified Jake's points well.

If Walker has to rescind the tax cut, what will happen to Rebeccas Kleefisch's marbles? Will she have to give up Little Caesar's and settle for squirrel or roadkill?
