Squawker Belling Calls Chairwoman Dimitrijevic The B-Word, Latest in Sexist Smear Attack Against Her

When Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele launched his attack against the democracy via his overreaching power grab, he repeatedly stated that it was in no way personal against the County Board.

True to his nature, he immediately launched a smear campaign against them, mostly targeting Chairwoman Marina Dimitrijevic.  Abele has blamed Dimitrijevic for
just about everything short of sunspots and the oil spills from broken pipelines.  Not surprisingly, Abele took a page from Scott Walker's playbook and has even blamed her for his own errors.

The smear attacks against Dimitrijevic quickly took on a sexist tone to them.

Abele's spokesman, Brendan Conway, referred to Dimitrijevic as a "mean girl," alluding to the movie of the same name.  Abele dismissed calls for an apology, saying that the complaints of the supervisors was nothing more than a "distraction."

Abele had also personally attacked Dimitrijevic by accusing her of only being worried about having her salary cut in half.  To make it worse, he did this on Equal Pay Day, the day that for pointing out the disparity between men and women doing the same job.  It is also very egregious giving that Abele makes a six figure salary, is a multimillionaire for no other reason than being born into a wealthy family, and gave his cronies, er, staff members extravagant raises.

The latest of the sexist and misogynistic attacks against Dimitrijevic came on Friday from radio squawker Mark Belling - infamous for referring to Latinos as "wetbacks" - who called Dimitrijevic a bitch (about the 20 minute mark, near the end):

4-12-13 Hr 2 Pt 1 - Mark Belling

To be specific, the quote is
"There's a saying - well, I think there's a saying that covers everything, I just don't know all the sayings. You know what the saying in this case is? Payback - she be a bitch. [laughter] A lot of bitches in this story."
Given the condescending and misogynistic attitude that we've already seen from
Abele, Belling and the other cretins backing this power grab, don't hold your breath for an apology. But this does not mean in any way that we should not make our opinions known of their hate for women, for democracy and for Milwaukee County.

But it is very telling that they cannot make their argument for AB 85 on the merits of the bill, but rather they must resort to personal, sexist attacks on the Chairwoman.  It tells us they are afraid of a strong, charismatic and popular woman who has been able to thwart their greed and malfeasance thus far.

You can reach Belling's boss, Jerry Bott at JerryBott@ClearChannel.com. Feel free to email him and tell him that Belling and the station owe Chairwoman Dimitrijevic and all women an apology.

You can then reach Chris Abele at 414-278-4211 or at countyexec@milwcnty.com. Tell Abele that his misogyny and arrogance isn't winning anyone over and he should start focusing on doing his job - which he is failing miserably at - for a change.

  2. Maybe someone will "bitch-slap" him....then we'll see how funny it is....

  3. I heard he used to "dance" with the cigarette machine.

  4. This is why we must stop the progressives. We start by taking away the vote from women. All the problems in this country can be traced to passage of the 19th Amendment in 1919. Look at the problems this has caused. This b***h wants equal pay for equal work without remembering that women are not as good as men. If women did not vote, we would not have Obama. Time to repeal the 19th Amendment! Call Mark Belling and Charlie Sykes and encourage them to lead the charge. They know what to say.

  5. Nobody wants to comment on her negotiating with an uncertified union? Or acting in the interests of union members and not her constituents? Mayber her constituents would agree with Mr Belling if she would actually tell them what her intentions really are.

    1. Nice job. First you repeat the lie of the week and then you infer that Dimitrijevic is the b-word. Which one of Abele's staffers are you?

      Delete
    2. Please, I would think his staffers would welcome your criticisms, seems the politicians you don't agree with tend to advance their careers pretty fast.
Besides, Dave Eisner admitted to the JS. there was a negotiation meeting at a hotel. Hard to argue against facts, I am assuming that's why you've resorted to the misogyny card against Belling.

    3. And still nothing illegal happened. So if nothing illegal happened, what would be the cause of your complaint and your attack on Dimitrijevic other than misogyny?

    4. Then tell me why the county's legal counsel advises against negotiations. I am not alone in suspecting that the county board would sell out the taxpayer to sign a contract while act 10 is being disputed. The fact that you are defending them is only another indicator that they are more beholden to the union interests than the taxpayers.

    5. It's a false argument to claim that the union's interest is different than the taxpayer's. But perhaps we should discuss how many times Abele has ignored legal advice and the costs associated with his egotistical decisions.

    6. Seems you should have been trying to convince Mike Ellis and not me. Say goodbye to your empowered county board.

    7. So....A 1.5% raise and withholding of dues is in the publics interests how? It would seem the fact that this all came out will work to benefit the publics interests as the state strips the lying county board of most of their power.

    8. Well, if it ain't our favorite troll returned from the troll grave.

I suppose you never bothered to figure out what the lawsuits are gonna cost ya, have ya sunshine?

Sort of like the "savings" from those furlough days. It only cost tax payers $6M, but I got a six week paid vacation.

    9. Now I can see how union interests are the same as the public's....not. It would seem to me you hold as much contempt for the taxpayers as you do for the governor.
At least you've confessed to lying that the union interest are the same as taxpayers. Now get your chairwoman to confess she is just a puppet for the unions, on second thought, don't bother. she has made it very apparent herself. So I hope you enjoyed your 6 weeks off, because karma is coming, and to quote Belling, "she's a bitch".
BTW, what is the percentage of afsme membership in Milwaukee county these days? Better save that six million to buy some more politicians, because this group seems to be lost.

    10. Yeah, because Act 10 has been such a winner. You won't be happy until everything is in ruins. Then you'll still blame anyone and everyone else. That is why no one listened to you before and no one will listen now.

      Delete
    11. Listen to me? I represent the majority opinion, remember the recall? That is why your interests have resorted to lawsuits, because you can't win on public opinion. Do you think the referendum will cut the pay of county supervisors next spring? Or will the voters see "your" point of view?
Ruins? Is that your answer to my AFSME membership question?

      Delete
    12. Oh, the supes' pay will be cut. Our membership is actually growing thanks to Walker and Abele.

And the economy will continue to tank in Wisconsin while the rest of the nation grows. Yeah, it's working!

      Delete
    13. Well then there you go, the will of the people. Not what I read, seems membership took a hit when dues weren't stolen from paychecks. http://www.newsmax.com/Politics/wisconsin-recall-election-unions/2012/05/31/id/440779
Save the faux outrage, since when has a public union been concerned with the state of the economy other than wanting a bigger piece of the pie? They are one of the only unions that don't contribute to improving the economy, but rather feed off of it.

      Delete
    14. Yup, a lot of people were forced out when they lost a fifth of their pay. That's what you call success? Forcing people to choose between feeding their families or protecting their rights? You're a sad, little man if that is what you're doing.

But as I noted, people are starting to come back because they realized petty people like you need to be balanced by organized labor.

      Delete
    15. Balance is fine. But when union interests are being represented at both sides of the bargaining table we get what we had in Milwaukee county for so many years. Just like the county board who brought this upon themselves, the public unions used there muscle to feed themselves a bigger lice of the pie and pit the electorate against them.
I am sure we will see balance again in the future. But I am sure you wont see it as balanced as your perspective is far to skewed. You see balance is when labor and owners (taxpayers in this case) are happy. So by all means, keep pissing off your bosses, and I'll refill my popcorn.

    1. When you nail Sly for his MUCH WORSE comments to Rebecca Kleefisch - then will I believe you care about women.

  7. To be more specific he says this comment at 20 minutes and 36 seconds.

  8. Belling has used the word Bitch several times on his show. A count would be good indeed. Get him fired.

  11. Hmmm....hypocrisy here. Sly in the Morning said foul, evil, dirty things about Rebecca Kleefisch on his show - far worse than Mark Belling did. Where were all of you then???

    ReplyDelete
  12. Okay, no reply...I guess this has nothing to do with defending women. Everything to do with politics. Only certain women deserve to be treated with respect. That is why I do not respect the so-called "liberal, co-exist" mentality.

  13. Umm for all of the knotsies who are completely clueless, Sly was punished and apologized numerous times.

Im still waiting for charlie sykes to apologize or Belling to do it seriously!

    1. He still has a show...and what he said was the lowest of the low. What did Charlie sykes do?

      Delete
    2. Correction: He got his show back. He was also suspended at the time he made the comments.

As for Sykes, he's been race-baiting for years, including having cost his employer money for some of his out of line comments.

      Delete
    3. Sooo you think it is fine for Sly to have his show back. What about Letterman, and Maher? Oh yeah they apologized - all is good. They talk raping conservative women, etc - Belling only said "IT is a "b..." not SHE is a "b..." When you are equally critical I will believe that you are serious. This should have nothing to do with politics. Either you respect women or you don't. And Sykes is not a race baiter...give me one example.

      Delete
    4. And what in the world is a knotsie? I hope you are not calling me some sort of bad name. I don't know what that even means.
