What Are You Doing Black Friday?

Here's a suggestion:

  1. No I will not. I don't have time for that.

I'll be standing in line at Walmart. It always takes a while there. Some days are worse than others. I might be a little confused. I will have a few questions about the coupons I will be using. Sometimes my expired cards will not work.

I will have a pocket full of change to pay with if my card won't work. I probably won't have enough top pay for everything, it won't take long to remove a few items from that cart. I hope I don't accidentally drop all my change on the floor.

  2. And if we are lucky we can force them out of business like we did hostess.

    1. Actually, Hostess closed because of their Bain-style of management. Hostess is an example of what life would have been like if Romney had won.

    2. what, is walmart being run by a private equity firm now racist ?

    3. No, I was just curious on cappers thoughts on Hostess. As I don't get a seat at the "kings table" lol.
Costco, by the way is an excellent business model. But to say it is influenced by union representation is a bit dishonest. From wickipedia: While some former Price Club locations in California and the northeastern United States are staffed by Teamsters,[59] the majority of Costco locations are not unionized.
Question is, would full unionization of the work force make the company better or worse? And by what standard?

  3. I read that Trumka'd up excuse. Is he afraid there might already be people questioning their vote? I don't see any other reason to try to blame Romney any more. These union bosses need to put their money where their mouth is and demonstrate how a union run company would operate. Or maybe GM is their poster child, we've all seen its latest quarterly report.
At what point does Obama take any responsibility? For anything, but maybe watching Bin Laden get killed from his office chair?

    2. It must be hard to be a Republican lately. Socialists bankrupting Hostess, Commies doing something so secret we haven't heard what it is yet. Not to mention sex and fun. Vote WALMART next time.

It must be ironic that Haley Barbour thinks the Republican Party needs a proctology exam to get to the bottom of it's dysfunction.

It must be wishful thinking that stupid and paranoid can be fixed.

    3. Thats very witty anom. I am sure all democrats would love to see the republicans change face in light of the last election. But I defend the personal responsibility message rather than contemplating whether the party should try to offer more "free stuff" than the democrats. Because if that is the future of our democracy then it truly is only a matter of time.

    4. IMBAR,

As a political junkie who pays way too much attention to this stuff, I must have missed the "personal responsibility message" care to show me it?

    5. I'm still waiting for IMBAR to lament all the "free stuff" given to companies and executives. I also bet that IMBAR didn't complain about all the government money that people used to hire his company for jobs.

    6. Jeff, it seems you miss a lot. Try changing up your news sources a bit. Please tell me you feel the democrat party is the party of personal responsibility. Now that would be funny.

Capper, I assume you are condoning this stimulus type of governing by Obama. the thing with stimulus is that if you give it to business it comes back in increased tax revenue whether from increased jobs or increased economic activity spurring more tax revenue. But if you give it to special interests and local governments like your president did, it is wasted. So I can understand some of the "free stuff" handed out, but even you can't deny much of it was just as you would say, political kickbacks for support. We'll save green energy and GM for another discussion.
Have a good thanksgiving you two.

    7. Oh, so what you're saying is that you know better what to do with our money than we do?

BTW, the local governments spent the money on businesses too, so your argument is invalid. And if the people have no money, neither do the businesses that depend on people's money. That's why things are falling apart in Wisconsin but growing everywhere else.

    8. Never have I said the dems are all good and the republicans are all bad, reading us regularly you would know that we probably criticize the dems more than most.

However the dems do not run as the party of personal responsibility the way the republicans do, and I find it laughable. Have you seen walker in the last year? How many times has he blamed his sic job numbers on something and someone else?

    9. So let me get your economic theory correct capper, the wealth will trickle its way up if we just give it to the people? Seems that Bush's rebate checks would fit your theory better than Obamas stimulus.
Jeff, to answer, not as many times as I heard Obamas problems blamed on Bush.

    10. There is a difference in blaming the economic problems that President Obama faces on the global economic meltdown that bush helped precipate.....

as opposed to Scott walker who kept blaming his non existent job numbers on uncertainty, elections, the color of Tom Barretts car, etc...

    11. Under Bush, we had two recessions and massive job loss.

Under Obama, we've had growth, albeit a slow one.

      What were you saying again?

      Delete
    12. Doesn't sound like your being very tough on Dems today Jeff!

      Capper,
Bush was definitely not perfect by any means and I didn't agree with the rebate checks either, but Obamas not done yet, we'll see how that growth is coming along by 2016.

    1. Nice to see others are getting on board!

Are you going to leave it sporting goods or hardware? You have to take into account picking somewhere where all the help is too busy 5to act quickly, but not blocking the way to the point where they have to do something about it.
