A Fish Fry Fit For A King

It was another Friday night and another Solidarity Fish Fry.

But it wasn't just another Friday night or just another Solidarity Fish Fry.

It was the sixth week of Solidarity Fish Fry and it drew some of Milwaukee's finest.

As I was arriving, I had the chance to see Representative Chris Sinicki as she and her husband were leaving.

I had the great fortune to dine with a group of some of the greatest people in Milwaukee.

Immediately to my left was candidate corner, as there were three great people who had the courage to take the step of putting themselves out there to run against all odds and still made a good showing:

From left to right: Vince Megna, Chris Rockwood,
Kelley Dee Albrecht and John Pokrandt
We were also joined by Vince Megna, who is currently running for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Also at the table was John Kaye and Annie Wacker, the Vice President of the Milwaukee Labor Council:

And rounding off this list of dignitaries was Wendy Strout, Executive Director of Emerge Wisconsin:

If you're not familiar with Emerge Wisconsin, check out their website and their Facebook page (and give it a like while you're there).

It truly was a privilege to be in such an august group.

We were again thanked for our continued support.  The union section was always full through the evening.

I can't wait to see what next week's Solidarity Fish Fry will bring.  Maybe some turkey fish?

  3. I was very pleased to meet and talk to everybody at the capper table. Kelley, that was an impressive run. With a little more money next time, who knows? Capper I'll talk with you in December. In the mean time I'll be campaigning. Thanks.
