A Letter to Mitt From an Obama Voter

Romney,
I know you think I, and millions of other Americans, are government mooching, lazy pieces of working class trash, but I assure you, you have no clue about the average American. Hell, you think food and health care are "entitlements"! I honestly don't know how to respond to such a stupid and moronic statement. I know you'd like to turn America into nothing more than a supreme oligarchy, but I assure you, not I or anyone else who has a shred of decency (and a brain) will allow you to do that. And we will stop you by the power of the VOTE.

You claim to care about all Americans, but obviously that's BS. The current poverty rate in this nation is 15.1%. I can imagine that under a Romney/Ryan administration, that number would quadruple yearly. You want to eliminate any sort of government help for people who are old, disabled, poor, unemployed, etc. It's cruel. It's mean. It's not what America is. The American government works FOR THE PEOPLE. These programs are funded for, and are provided for THE PEOPLE. I suppose you think that setting aside money reserved for rent help, unemployment and food are just infringements on your ability to get another $77,000 tax credit for your dancing horse. I know, funneling money into inner city schools means you might get one less tax break. I suppose upsetting the wealthy overlords you sold your soul to might mean less financial support for your campaign, but hey, I'm totally okay with that! People come before money, Mr. Romney but I've come to realize you'll never understand that (especially from a guy who bought a sweatshop in China.)

You'll never live a day in the shoes of a single mom who is doing her best to get by. She can't afford college, so she has a low paying job to make sure she can support her kids. She can't afford to live in a better school district, so her kids are getting a mediocre education. She can't afford insurance for herself, let alone her children, so they go without. How in the hell can you be so careless, and cruel and then suggest you somehow have the ability to be president? You know what would happen if a perspective employee insulted their employer during their job interview? THEY'D NEVER GET HIRED. Do you REALLY think the American people would elect you to anything ever? You've essentially just flushed any future political career you have down the toilet.

Mitt, I'll be honest with you. You make me ill. I can't stand you. You're a disgrace, you're a liar, you're just plain awful. In case you've forgotten, this is the year 2012. We are not serfs and you're not a lord. We will not bow down to you. You can't identify with ANYONE other than your wealthy friends. And come November 6th, when President Obama is re-elected, don't act surprised.

  1. Multi-millionaire Tom Petri (R, WI-06) paid no Federal income tax 2002-2005. What a moocher. I bet he votes for Obama.

  2. I'm inspired now to work harder, to make it to the next tax bracket, so I can pay more taxes to pay for single mothers everywhere.

    1. Usually I ignore you, because nothing you say adds any value to the conversation. And this comment just proved my point.

    2. I assume adding value would be agreeing with you?
You tell me, as a self employed person what incentives does Obama give me to be self dependent and work harder? Promises of more taxes, more debt? Telling me I didn't build my own company? Telling us we need to spread the wealth around?

      Delete
    3. How about the promise that, if you work hard and take risks to build a business, if it doesn't work out through no fault of your own but because Wall Street crash the economy again and so trash demand for your business' products, that you don't die because you can't get health insurance?

    4. You're basing your argument on a quote Obama didn't say, and what he did say was taken out of context.

He's given small business tons of tax breaks and incentives, as he should be doing. It's small business that are the backbone of our communities.

Fair taxation is not "spreading the wealth." I work hard 5 days a week, and I pay my taxes. I enjoy things like roads and libraries, schools and public parks. The only time I bitch is when my taxes have to go up so that Mitt Romney and his overlords can continue to stash their money in Swiss bank accounts.

Try logic and facts next time, pal.

    5. Wow, IMBAR!

First you start of with a bout of misogyny, and then you come up with the squawk radio squawking points. You certainly are becoming quite the troll!

But if you built your business on your own, please provide us with your receipts for the roads you built to move yourself and your product/service; the police force that keeps you safe; the fire department that keeps you and your place of business safe; the plow drivers taht you hired for all the road, and so on and so forth.

And then you can tell us how Romney wouldn't raise your taxes. Just like Walker didn't raise your taxes and how Walker create all those jobs.

  3. OK, anom, You do realize that the policies they are endorsing here are the reason the economy tanked, and the same people responsible for it are promising you something for nothing to re-elect them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7FAVpjwB_s&feature=fvwrel

Meg, You deny he said it and Capper doubles down on Obamas words! One of you is wrong! But you are right about small business. Fair taxation is what I am after too. We just have a different definition of fair. I am sure at age 24 you are alright with the taxes you pay. I was too. Even voted for Clinton. But you will find as you get "more skin in the game" your burden increases to the point that it doesn't make sense to push yourself further. The same thing can be said of the single mother who, with help from government makes ends meet. But as soon as she hits a certain income threshold she starts to lose those giveaways, so she stays just shy of that. Please tell me you don't think it happens every day. Because then there will be hope for you. You do realize you cut and paste an article based on emotion and opinion and then told me to use logic and facts, right? ......Unless it is you who wrote it? Yes? Oh, and Romney doesn't make his money from taxes that you pay, that would be Capper, so be mad at him for being able to maintain a second "castle" up north.
And lastly, the king of spin, I would maintain that I am less of a misogynist than you. I am not championing that all women with kids "need" help from government. I have property tax receipts, fuel tax receipts and income tax receipts, sales tax, unemployment tax, FICA receipts.
What will happen if ACT 10 doesn't win its legal battles? That extra money that Walker "didn't save" will have to come from somewhere. Where do you propose the local governments go for that extra money? Romney isn't running an a platform of more taxation. That would be Obama.
Sure, I am a typical troll.

    1. Well, taxes don't count as receipts because we all pay taxes (those of us with lower salaries pay more, of course, thanks to the Republicans), which means you didn't build any of those things by yourself. I guess you didn't build it on your own after all, eh?

You are the one that complained about unmarried women with children as being the recipient of your tax money while ignoring the millionaires that get even millions more in tax breaks. That is misogyny.

Romney did indeed make his money off our backs. He got the millions in tax breaks, so we end up having to pay our share as well as his. And of course, Romney isn't running on a platform to raise taxes. That's what his plan does, but he won't admit it. So I guess the only one you're fooling with that nonsense is yourself.

And gee, why do you think that the local municipalities and school districts are raising their tax levies? Oh, yeah, because they have to make up for the loss caused by Act 10.

It's sad when the evidence is right in front of your nose, but your irrational hatred and greed prevents you from seeing it.

    2. 47% of Americans don't pay any federal income tax. Who is lying?
Meg says Obama is offering tax breaks and incentives for small business you say tax breaks for millionaires. The message is a bit muddy.
Your wrong about ACT 10, and it is your greed and hatred that motivates you to campaign against it. See how easy it is to just sling insults?
Every local government in the country is being pinched right now, every state. ACT 10 allows them in WI to spread the "lack of wealth" around a little bit,(to borrow a concept from your president) instead of protecting the unions while they stick it to the property owners. I know why your views are tainted, you are a direct recipient of union bargaining. But you accuse me of greed? You have made your hatred of Walker public, and you accuse me of hatred? Give me a break.

    3. In case you cared a whit about facts that don't fit your narrative:

Sure, 47% of Americans do not pay federal income tax. But that number includes 22% of Americans who are elderly receiving Social Security and Medicare, benefits which they spent a lifetime paying into so that they can receive them later. There's another 17% who are students and disabled Americans. But you wouldn't give a crap for them. That leaves 8% of our fellow citizens who are poor and exempt from paying taxes. But hey, 47%, that's a big number! Oh yeah, and don't forget those 7,000 millionaires and billionaires who found a way to avoid paying Federal Income taxes. Mitt obviously hates them too. Damned freeloaders!!

There's a great chart going around that shows that the states with the greatest number of residents who don't pay taxes are.....wait for it....CONTROLLED BY REPUBLICANS.

    4. Your numbers are a bit off. But you make your point. I guess Capper should reference this chart before he claims "we all pay taxes"
      http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/taxtopics/federal-taxes-households.cfm
Your last point should be no surprise, after all they are the party of lower taxes.

      Delete
    5. You almost had me there for a second. But alas, that's the highest percentages of residents who pay no FEDERAL taxes. And wouldn't you know, those are also the same states receiving the most money BACK from the FEDERAL government in the form of welfare, infrastructure, defense money and what have you.

You know, you must have a wheelbarrow the size of a dump truck to carry around those balls of yours trying to pivot on that. Unreal.

      Delete
    6. Makes you angry that the ones who pay the least seem to get the most, doesn't it?

      Delete
    7. Oh, they don't pay property tax, sales tax, fees and other costs? Or do you just like moving the goalposts so you have a very slight chance of fooling someone?

Oh, and you forgot the rest of that graphic.

      Delete
  4. I'm always amazed at the "self employed" who don't see how little the Republicans care about them, and how easily fooled they are into believing all the crap spewed from the right.

Many that I know have joined the NFIB thinking they were joining an organization that was of the small businessman, and for the small businessman. They should take the time to look in to all the legislation the NFIB has truly lobbied for, then maybe they'd pull their heads out of their asses and realize they are being played like the banjo of a toothless southerner sitting on their porch.

And tell me IMBR, why shouldn't you pay more taxes? Unless you strictly work out of your house, with no contact with the outside world, you use more government supported resources than I do. I use the roads to get to my job and get home, whereas most small business owners use the roads to get to and from work, to have supplies delivered, to pick up supplies, to travel to and from other businesses for meetings, etc. SBO's use the USPS more than I do, use more water than I do, oh hell, it gets so tiring having to school the truly uneducated and I'm just wasting my breath anyway. People that narrow minded will only continue to vote against their own best interest so why bother.

    Enjoy your banjo.

    1. No, I understand your logic. Maybe we could key our tax rates to how many public resources we use. Seems it would suit you well. It would also help the economy since capital gains dont seem to use to many resources, things like the recently returned death tax could be cut out. But it seems that would not be to progressive since it would hurt the poor who use buses, trains, police, courts, etc, far more than most rich people.
But maybe you didn't think it through that far. Maybe, you were just trying to justify your belief that taxing the rich will make your life better. After all, it's what Obama is selling these days.

  5. ...I didn't say he never said it. I said, "taken out of context." Mitt Romney wants you to believe he said that you didn't build your own business. What he was referring to was public works that make it so you can RUN a business. God all mighty....

  6. In a kinder gentler America we will be working to be sure there are plenty of beds available in our mental institutions so that the chronically mentally ill will not be sleeping in cardboard boxes under bridges.

Unfortunately there will be no treatment for the Right Wingers Head Assplode Syndrome (RWHAS) when their most recent dull tools (rMONEY-LYINryan) lose.
