Whatever It Takes

To advance Scott Walker's career, we know Scott Walker will do.  Yesterday, we pointed out how he blatantly lied about the jobs created in Wisconsin under his term.  Now, thanks to some follow up from Daily Beast, we find out how much damage that the Walker campaign did to one Wisconsin family. 

The Walker campaign exploited the death of a baby to score cheap political points against Tom Barrett, and unfortunately Mayor Barrett, took it as a personal attack and not what it was - the exploitation of a deceased baby and fircing his family to re-live this nightmare:

“I didn’t think they even considered if I would be watching the show, how I would feel, what memories would come back,” she says. “After seeing them talking about him, it’s like I’m really not here.”

At the same time, the stark and strident talk of her son being dead hammered into her what the core of her had such difficulty accepting, the still unimaginable fact that her 2-year-old was gone forever.

“It just made me realize he’s not here,” he said. “I don’t want them to be talking about that.

Maybe we can start the new legislative session with a bipartisan bill, making exploiting minors for political purposes illegal?

The initial shock of seeing the photo was joined by outrage as she realized that her late son was being used in a campaign ad.

I wonder if exploiting dead children is a badge that Scott Walker received as part of the Eagle Scout process or if there is any place that Scott Walker will not play to advance his political career?
