Apparently long time republican strategist feels that is appropriate punishment for women who do not listen or agree with him. It is a serious problem throughout the world, and Mr. Townsend, top republican strategist, feels it is a missing part of our justice system.
Sure he eventually resigned but that was after much opposition from her constituents. There is not a single republican on record, including Re. Nan Hayworth, of denouncing these comments. Hayworth's only reaction was to accept Townsend's resignation and delete all negative comments from her facebook page. Courage in action.
As for Mr Townsend, if you want to run for office, you can hire him if you "want to win" as he is now a political consultant.
What a sad state of affairs that republicans can not even find it in their hearts to denounce disgusting comments like this!!
