Sarah Palin's resignation costs Alaskan tax payers over $40,000. And that was just for the festivities. It doesn't include the money spent on having a special session of the legislature, which is running at least $100,000.
Although most tax payers in Alaska probably shouldn't grumble too much. That's a bargain to what she would have cost them if she had stayed.
