Hardin Bounced Out Of Race

From JSOnline:

The Milwaukee Election Commission today knocked controversial School Board member Charlene Hardin off the ballot for the spring elections.

Hardin didn't submit enough valid signatures on her nominating petitions to win a spot on the Feb. 17 primary ballot, said Neil Albrecht, the commission's deputy director.

Barring a successful challenge or a write-in campaign, that ruling could end Hardin's re-election quest.

As mentioned earlier, fellow blogger and a man I am proud to call my friend, Mike Mathias has thrown his hat in the ring to be Hardin's successor.

I am sure that this will add a whole new set of dynamics to this race, especially depending on how Hardin decides to react to the news. But I am confident that Mike will be able to deal with any bumps in the campaign trail as effectively as he would deal with the problems that MPS is facing now.
